This article explains how to set up and pair the WellPD wearable for the first time using the WellPD App.
Pairing connects the WellPD wearable to the dedicated smartphone via Bluetooth, allowing the device to securely transmit patient data to the WellPD App. This connection is necessary to upload the collected data and support the proper functioning of the overall system..
Follow the steps below to complete the compatibility check, wake up the device, and pair it via Bluetooth.
Please note that pairing must be done only via the WellPD App and not through the phone’s Bluetooth settings.
Step 1: Download and Open the WellPD App

Step 2: Run the Compatibility Check
Start compatibility check by following the instructions provided here. If your phone is compatible, you will be able to proceed to the login step.
Otherwise, please make sure your smartphone meets all the necessary requirements and try again.
For compatibility, your iPhone must run iOS 18 or higher, or your Android device must run version 13, or 14 or higher and support Bluetooth® 5.0 or higher
Step 3: Log In to the App
Before logging in, ensure you have the following ready to avoid interruptions:
- Internet connection
- Active Bluetooth
- If you have been provided with a charger, make sure your WellPD wearable is charged by placing it in the charger.

To avoid any issue during this process make sure you selected the right location from the top right corner.
Step 4: Wake Up the WellPD wearable
- Press and release the button on the WellPD wearable
- Check the LED status:
- The device should start slowly blinking blue. This means that the device is discoverable - Press Next
If the device does not wake up and you were provided with a charger, place the WellPD wearable on the charger and try again. The battery may be drained. If a charger was not provided, please contact your clinic to receive one
Step 5: Send the Pairing Request from the WellPD wearable
When the app detects your WellPD wearable, its serial number will be displayed.
- Verify that it matches the serial number on your device before continuing. The serial number is located on the back of the WellPD wearable.

Then, tap Select. You may have to wait a few seconds.

Press and release the button on the WellPD wearable when prompted to on the app screen. The app will pair with your WellPD wearable.
- If prompted by the system, allow Bluetooth permissions by clicking OK.
Pairing Complete
Once pairing is successful, the WellPD wearable is ready to be used with the WellPD App.
